Il Giardino dei Semplici rappresenta una delle 5 sedi del Museo di Storia Naturale di Firenze. Nato nel 1545, è fra gli Orti botanici più antichi al mondo. Contiene in sé la possibilità di attrarre studiosi, come pure famiglie con bambini e costituisce di fatto una preziosa area verde al centro della città. Il percorso museale ha il compito di seguire, accompagnare il visitatore nel percorso senza essere invasivo, senza coprire lo sguardo sul giardino, evitando quindi strutture eccessive e una ridondanza di informazioni: elementi semplici, leggeri che segnalino le diverse aree dell’orto dando l’idea a chi lo frequenta di avere a disposizione un sostegno ed una guida discreta. The Semplici Garden is one of the 5 sites of the Museum of Natural History of Florence. Founded in 1545, it is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It attracts both scholars as well as families with children and constitutes a precious green area in the centre of the city. The museum's itinerary has the aim to accompany the visitor without becoming invasive, without covering the view of the garden, and thus avoids any excessive structures and any redundancy of information: simple, light elements that signal the various areas within the garden, providing for the visitor subtle support and guidance. To provide captions for the signage that offers guidance within the garden, indicating the areas to explore according to themes and colours.
